I turned six in Second Life on Saturday, April 21.

For the first time in those six years, I did not want to have a rezday party. I didn't want anything. My partner Loken was the person who convinced me to celebrate and we did end up having a nice gathering at The Nightingale with some lovely guests. Thank you if you attended. I did actually end up having a good time and I appreciate that some of you were able to be there.

I have played a million rezdays over the years. I feel, and have always felt, that they are important to celebrate. I think it's important to honor the time and energy you have spent in the virtual world and to acknowledge the changes you have experienced. It's also a time to appreciate the friends that you have made. I have always tried to make every rezday that I have ever played something truly special for the rezday gal/guy.

At six, I do still feel this way...however I have a new feeling as well. It's about me, personally, not anyone else. For me,…

Songs from the Nightingale: Latin Party

I cordially invite you to join me tomorrow evening, Saturday, May 5 at The Nightingale in New Toulouse Jardin for a musical Latin Party from 7:00pm - 9:00pm North American Pacific time. This live broadcast on Radio Riel New Toulouse is in honor of the Mexican American holiday Cinco de Mayo and I will be featuring a variety of Latin music to spice up your Saturday night.

Cinco de Mayo, or the Fifth of May, is a day of voluntary celebration for Americans of Mexican descent and for people living in the Mexican state of Puebla. This holiday is somewhat similar to Saint Patrick's Day in that the day has gained great significance in the United States, yet it does not have the same focus and fervor back in the "homeland".
